Standard printing guidelines

There are some limitations when it comes to printing, embroidery and applique. The major limitation is that we need to stay 2cm away from all seams, including the pocket of a hoodie.

When we go to print the design, we will typically scale the print to be as large as possible on the smallest garment. This way you get a uniform look across the size range, with the design being as large as possible on the bigger sizes. Sometimes, when you have a very large size range – i.e. from Toddler sized tshirts all the way through to 7XL – you may need to have a couple of different print sizes. Typically an easy way to do this is to have one size for kids and one size for adults.

Below are some example guidelines as to where the standard places to print are on a range of our most popular garments. Because each design is unique we can make some suggestions so that you get a fantastic finish to your garment.

If the garment you are looking for isn’t here, we can advise what the print areas are.
